A combination of electrical disconnect switches, fuses or circuit breakers used to control, protect and isolate electrical equipment. They primarily de-energize equipment and clear faults to ground.
CONTROL METERING SYSTEMS
Control metering systems transform the available field data into useful information, leading to operation and maintenance decisions.
Control panels consist of control and monitoring instruments which assemble an enclosed system. The panel may prevent unauthorised access or have metering controls available on display.
Power factor correction aims to improve power factor and hence power quality through the use of capacitors. This provides the user with great cost savings on electricity.
POWER FACTOR CORRECTION
Power distribution units are designed to distribute electric power typically to computers and networking equipment within data centres.
Floodlighting panels may be designed to meet sport-specific lux levels dictated to by the type and standard of sport being played.
UPS will provide near-instantaneous protection from input power interruptions, by supplying energy stored in batteries or super capacitors. Whereas an IPS type system is typically used for emergency access lighting. The difference between IPS and UPS is the inverter setting.
In the event of a power outage, changeover panels are designed to transfer the supply to an emergency backup supply, either manually or automatically depending on the application requirements.
A mimic panel simulates the geographical layout of an electrical circuitry within a building or geographical location. LED's are used to indicate the condition of the electrical circuit. Sperrin has specialised equipment to recreate the geographical layout based on the clients site.
